Delete my account

You can delete your Epitome account and all the data attached to it at any time. This page explains how, and what gets erased.

From the app

Open Settings → Account → Delete my account. The app asks you three questions — what disappears, a word to write out, one last confirmation — and the deletion is then immediate. Nothing is queued, and there is no grace period.

You need a connection: if the request does not reach our servers, nothing is deleted — neither online nor on your phone. The app tells you so, and you can try again.

If you can no longer open the app

Phone lost, app uninstalled, unable to sign in: write to contact@epitome-app.com from the email address of your Epitome account, with the subject "Delete my account".

Writing from the account's own address is the only verification we ask for — and it is necessary: without it, anyone could have someone else's account deleted.

We acknowledge your request, then carry out the deletion within 30 days. You receive a confirmation once it is done.

What is deleted

Your account and your email address
Your tasks, lists, subtasks, due dates and time slots
Your events, reminders and planning profiles
The addresses of any calendars you had attached
Your subscription status in our systems

Deletion is permanent: the account is erased from our systems, not disabled or paused. Nothing can be recovered afterwards.

What this does not cover

Data left on your phone. A deletion made from the app erases it too, right after. Otherwise it goes when you sign out or uninstall the app. Your CalDAV credentials never left the device in the first place.
Your subscription at Google. Cancel it separately from Google Play → Subscriptions. Deleting your Epitome account does not stop a recurring payment — remember to do both.
Purchase records. Accounting and tax obligations require us to keep billing data for 10 years. It is no longer attached to an active account and serves only that purpose.
